WEAPON AND WOUND OVERLAY & ANIMATION

Weapon and Wound Overlay – or superimposition -   can be of invaluable assistance in establishing a link between characteristics found in a patterned injury and those of a suspected weapon, and in assisting in establishing non-association

Possible weapons include footwear, clothing, tools and household items, dumbbell bars, dog chains, rings and other jewellery

With extensive expertise of over thirty-five years in Forensic Medicine, Derek has a recognised reputation for the identification of patterned injury and bruising

Animated Overlay Images are provided on compact disc - which can be run as an animation in the Courtroom - with the suspected weapon fading in and out over the patterned injury

This reveals whether there are any associated matching characteristics

In addition to receiving an Overlay Animation on compact disc, these are also provided as hard copies, with acetate Overlay, for individual Jury use
